Scarlet Reader

Hey bookworms!

Happy Monday! Or sleepy Monday. I hope you had a good weekend.

If you’re like me, you like to listen to music while you read, or just for any reason, which is nice too. So I’ve compiled a list of songs for you. Maybe you’ve listened to them all or maybe there’s a few you’ve never listened to before.

Here is this week’s playlist.

Don’t Know Why – Norah Jones

Thinking about Tomorrow – Beth Orton

Stop Crying Your Heart Out – Leona Lewis

Speaking of Truth – LaLeh

Last Time – Paper Route

It Will Rain – Bruno Mars

Island – Sara Bareillis

Into the Night – Juliee Cruise

Take You Home – Cassadee Pope

This Love – Craig Armstrong

Perfect – Miggs

Have a listen and had a good week!

More to come soon…

The Scarlet Playlist- Jan. 7, 2019

Scarlet Reader

Heya bookworms!

So I wanted to wait until the new year before I started this new addition to the blog. I know you’ve probably seen this tagged on here and wondered, and if not, that’s pretty okiedokie too.

Anywho, music is a beautiful storyteller too. It not only tells a story but can enhance one as well. It creates dreams and makes us laugh and cry and dance and sing (which I’m dreadful at) but it brings about life in a magnificent way.

At the end of every book review, I post a song, whether it’s one that I feel like is parallel to the book or just one i was listening to while reading that book.

Many great books I’ve read have a little playlist in the author listened to while writing their novel. I want to post a playlist once a week.

Whether it’s just some songs we’ve never heard before or you decide to listen to it while reading this week, here’s a playlist!

Crash Into Me – Dave Mathews Band

Keep on Loving You – REO Speedwagon

Never Be Like You – Flume

Makes Me Wonder – Maroon 5

One Life – Hedley

Live Like We’re Dying – Kris Allen

Long Shot – Kelly Clarkson

Living in a Dream – Finger Eleven

Let Go – Safetysuit

Just My Imagination – The Cranberries

Is It Any Wonder – Keane

As an obvious note, I don’t own any of the music. I just listen to it on repeat.
